This policy explains what information LYTH collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. LYTH is built around the idea that this is your reflection, your data, and your decision about who sees it.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address to sign you in. We don't ask for your name, location, or other personal details to use the app.
- Journal entries and mood: what you write in your journal, and the mood rating attached to each entry.
- Check-in responses: your answers to LYTH's reflective check-in questions, which touch on things like sleep, mood, anxiety, and overwhelm. We treat this as sensitive information. If an answer suggests you may need additional support, the app will show you support resources — this happens automatically and isn't reviewed by a person.
- Routine requests: when you ask LYTH for a routine, the description you enter (along with how you slept and how much time you have) is sent to our AI provider to generate a response.
- Usage information: things like your check-in streak and the dates you've used the app, so LYTH can show your progress back to you.
- Activity logs: feeds, sleep, diapers, and other entries you log for your baby or yourself in Parent mode, plus night shift assignments and notes you leave for a partner.
How we use your information
We use your information to run the app's core features: generating routines, tracking your mood and streaks over time, and showing your check-in history back to you. We use it to maintain and improve LYTH over time.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Third-party services
LYTH relies on a small number of outside services to function:
- Supabase hosts our database and handles sign-in. Your account and entries are stored there.
- OpenAI processes the text you enter when you request a routine, in order to generate a response. We don't send your journal entries or check-in answers to OpenAI — only what you type into the routine request itself.
Data security
Your journal entries, check-in answers, routines, and streaks are protected so that only your own account can access them — no other LYTH user can see them, including a connected partner. Data is encrypted in transit between your device and our servers.
Together Mode and sharing with a partner
If you connect with a partner using Together Mode, some information becomes shared between you by design — that's the point of the feature. Specifically:
- Activity logs and shift assignments — feeds, sleep, diapers, and night shift schedules are visible to both partners once connected.
- Notes you leave for a partner — visible to whoever you're connected with, not to anyone else.
- Wellness trend sharing — off by default. If you turn it on in Profile → Privacy, your partner can see a general trend in how you're doing (better, steady, or lower) based on your check-ins. They never see your actual check-in answers, your journal, or the self-harm question — only that one coarse signal, and only if you've opted in.
Your journal entries and raw check-in answers are never shared with a partner, opted in or not — there's no setting that exposes them.
Your choices and rights
You can turn off notifications at any time, either from Profile → Reminders in the app or from your device's settings. You can turn wellness trend sharing on or off at any time from Profile → Privacy. To delete your account and all associated data, use Profile → Delete account in the app, or email us at support@lyth-wellness.com and we'll take care of it within 24 hours. To request a copy of your data, email us at the same address.
Children's privacy
LYTH is intended for use by adults caring for a child, not by children themselves. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date above and let you know in the app.
